Hotel Deals Macau
The casinos and hotels in Macau are an important part of the local economy. This has been the case since the mid-nineteenth century when the Portuguese government allowed for the first gambling. The first casino monopoly was promised to the Tai Xing Company in 1937. In 1961, the government authorized the MacDonald's Turismo and Diversity (STDM) to take over the gambling monopoly. The license was extended in 1986 for another 15 years, but ran in 2001. Sociedade de Turismo and Miscellaneous of Macau was founded by Stanley Ho, Teddy Yip, Yip Hon and Henry Fok, but in the course of the years they were fully owned by tycoon Stanley Ho and his family.
At the end of 2001, the monopoly was opened at the casino market in Macau and since then, many casino and hotels agencies from Las Vegas have been setting up.
